Babymoon

One of the best gifts we got at my baby shower was a free night's stay at a bed and breakfast in Eden (from my parents).  They wanted us to have a chance to get away as a couple one last time before the baby comes.  So, on Friday Oct. 22nd we headed out to Eden for our "babymoon."

This was our bed and breakfast, the Snowberry Inn. 

When we got there it was all lit up with Christmas lights. 

Our room, the "Backcountry" room. The bearskin on the wall was a little weird haha, but I liked the room.  It was small but cozy. 

Our room was on the top level, so the ceililng sloped clear down to the floor on one side of the room.  This little wrangler was hanging out in the corner of the room.

We played pool and foozball in the rec room downstairs.  I actually won the foozball game!  But Dustin's pool skills were too much for me. 

Turns out I am not a good pool player.  This shot looks like it's not going anywhere. 

But, surprisingly, it went in! 

Right at the end of our game a few other guests showed up, including a little boy who saw us playing and said, "Hey!  I love this game!"  He grabbed a pool stick and was about to jump right in before his dad took away his stick and told him he had to wait for us to finish before his turn.  He was pretty bummed.  Luckily we were almost done.

We tried to take some timer pictures outside, but most of them didn't turn out because it was too dark.  This one with the flash on turned out all right though.  (Isn't he the cutest?)

Next morning after an AMAZING homecooked breakfast we walked down to Pineview Reservoir and got some pics of the fall scenery.  It was pretty!  I absolutely love fall.  I love seeing the leaves change colors and there were a lot of beautiful trees around Pineview.

The wee bit of rain turned into a downpour that lasted the whole drive to Salt Lake to spend the rest of the weekend with Dustin's family.  We took the "scenic" route home, over Trappers Loop and down to Park City, then out of the canyon into Salt Lake.  In this picture I was trying to get a shot of the awesome leaves in the canyon, but it didn't turn out so well.  However, you can see the water sitting on the road and the rain coming down.  We hydroplaned a few times.  No biggie :)  Luckily we made it back home safe and sound. 

Thank you thank you Mom and Dad for the present!  We had a wonderful weekend together.
