Here Is The Surprise

Dustin has been talking about selling the Mustang and getting a 4-door truck, which would have more room for people and for hauling stuff  (like furniture).  He discovered that the trucks he likes are way out of our price range.  We had also been discussing which kind of family vehicle we would get in the future.  Neither of us like the idea of a minivan, but we wanted something with 3 rows of seats.  We discovered that we liked the newer Ford Explorer models. 

So on Sunday night, Dustin was just browsing KSL, seeing the going price for trucks and SUVs and the like.  He stumbled upon an amazing deal: a 2002 Ford Explorer, Eddie Bauer edition, with relatively low miles, clean title, etc.  The vehicle was "priced to sell" for nearly $3000 less than the blue book price.  We had nearly the full price for the vehicle from our tax return, so......we bought it Monday morning. 

This car is awesome.  We really love it.  Dustin has put his beloved Mustang up for sale, which is actually sort of sad for both of us, since it really is a sweet ride and he has put a lot of work into it.  But the Explorer is an amazing car, and we are excited to own it.  It was a quick decision, but we feel good about it.  We drove it down to Vegas today and it is very comfortable and holds a TON of stuff--we were able to bring our stroller and baby seat and pillows and my sister Sara.  :)  And we are having an AWESOME time in Vegas.  It is sooooo warm and wonderful!  Pictures to come shortly.
